Demise X Wheels of Color: Riding for Change

Riding for those who can’t ride. Riding for a lost loved one. Riding to make a difference. Riding for community. These inspirational motivations, among many more, exemplify the spirit that permeates the Wheels of Color Pelotonia team. Providing much-needed aid to the community, from the community, Wheels of Color offers a way to promote healthy practices while simultaneously encouraging and engaging in philanthropic, community-oriented actions.

Pelotonia is a non-profit bike race that pledges to give 100% of donations to cancer research at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Since its inception over a decade ago, the organization has donated $236 million towards cancer research, with the Wheels of Color team collectively raising $30,826 of this sum this past year.

While their present accomplishments are impressive, this is just the beginning for the team. With plans to continue participating in Pelotonia indefinitely, Wheels of Color has unlimited potential to leave a positive impact on the communities they serve, in a truly holistic sense.There is no intention of slowing down any time soon, and Wheels of Color will continue to ride for each other, ride for those who can’t, and ride for the cure.
